TYRE FITTING AND BALANCING

In order to ensure complete car safety you need to make sure you have your car tyres both correctly balanced and aligned. This will give you greater comfort, longer tyre life and better safety.

Tyres and wheels should be checked and balanced every 20,000 km and every time a tyre is repaired, replaced or fitted as it can lead to premature or uneven wear.

Is your steering wheel shaking and vibrating while driving ? The vibration a buckle generates can result in serious damage to both steering and suspension components ?

In case of an impact on a pavement, the weight of your wheel can be distributed unevenly. If you notice any problem, it is a good idea to check balance of the wheels.

FITTING AND BALANCING @ TALLON WHEELS

WHAT IS TYRE FITTING ?

Professional tyre fitters like Tallon Wheels use industrial tyre-changer machines. This makes the removing and replacing of tyres quick and easy.
There is no set time on how long it takes to fit a tyre, but as a general rule of thumb, it should take around twenty minutes per tyre – please keep this in mind when booking a tyre fitting, especially if you require four tyres fitted and have a busy schedule. The reason it is difficult to provide an exact time is that each fitment can vary depending on a tyre’s size, the size of your vehicle’s wheels and the vehicle itself.
When you turn up for your appointment, we will be able to give you clearer idea of how long it will take.

What is wheel balancing ?
Wheel balancing ensures that the weight of each wheel is even when it turns. When a new tyre is mounted onto an axle, the wheel should be rebalanced to ensure it continues to rotate evenly. Wheels that are not balanced or are out of balance generally produce a vibration that is uncomfortable to the driver and results in premature wearing of tyres, suspension and steering components.
How do I know if my wheels are out of balance ?
One sign of imbalance is if your steering wheel starts to wobble above a certain speed, and it becomes uncomfortable while holding the wheel. Another sign your wheels are out of balance is uneven tyre wear.
Our expert wheel balance services will eliminate any vibration and uneven tyre wear so you experience a smoother ride. This will preserve the life and longevity of your vehicle tyres.
